For too long, ableism has placed an unfair stigma around mobility aids, equivocating them with “giving in” to illness, “weakness” and something to inspire “pity.” So it’s no wonder that many disabled people (especially those who are new to the community or have less obvious symptoms) feel a certain level of internalized anxiety, frustration, and even shame overusing them in public.
But we know better than that, right babe? Mobility aids are a beautiful thing! They grant freedom, ease, and the ability to save your energy for more important things! And with an increasing number of designers paying attention to the disabled community, they can now reflect your personal style.
That’s why we spent many (coffee-fueled) hours searching for the internet for some of the cutest aids out there! As a bonus, we’ve also styled a few looks around each one so you can get some #ootd inspiration. Warning: these are not your grandma’s mobility aids! :)
Number 1: Clear Lucite Derby Handle Walking Cane with Lucite Shaft and Custom Collar
Lucite is trending when it comes to handbags and jewelry, so why not incorporate it into your mobility aid? Minimal, retro, and hip all at the same time, this walking cane from Fashionablecanes.com is built to last and is super versatile for your outfits. We also love that the company offers the option to pop in a color of your choice. (Personally, we want pink, but we might be biased!) Their walking cane comes with a tip included and is recommended for people up to 6’6” and up to 180lbs. But if needed, they offer expanded options too!
Number 2: The Aliker Walking Bike
If Selma Blair owns this, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be cool, right? This sleek walking bike makes getting around on low-energy days so much easier. Selma even mentioned in her review of the Alinker that it helped her keep up with her energetic son, so new moms, take note! The bike is offered in both a small and medium-size (the difference is in the seat adjustment height) so it caters to a wide range of body types. And did we mention that it’s collapsable? So throw on your favorite moto jacket, hit the street, and fold it up as you roll up at your favorite cafe.
- Even though it’s a bit costly, Aliker offers a “Rent to Own” option! Check it out here!
They also offer international shipping! Find your country here.
Number 3: The Sunu Mobility Device
Have you ever wanted a little extra support when going out with a guide dog or white cane? Well, the Sunu Band has got you covered! With a modern look that rivals any smartwatch from Silicon Valley, this cute band uses sonar technology (echolocation) to provide haptic (vibration) feedback on the user's surroundings. It’s meant to be used in conjunction with other devices to improve spatial awareness and provide information on obstacles in your path, so we’re not sure how well it works when used solo. But the coolest part? It works on things that are above ground level up to 16 feet away! That’s kind of a superpower if you ask us.
Number 4: Neo-Walk, Walking Sticks
This UK-based brand has been gaining a cult following and it’s easy to see why. With options that look like they came from a candy store, names like “Champagne Fizz”, and light-up options, these might be the coolest mobility aids around! Neo-Walk makes sure the fit is perfect, taking to-measure orders and offering a variety of handle options. They also offer a wide range of accessories so that your mobility aid reflects your personal style! Engrave a message or your initials to their Signature Range, add a wrist strap, or invest in an ice grip. We also want to shout out to their customer service who replied within the hour and answered all our questions.

Number 5: WHILL Model Ci2 Power Chair
The first words that come to mind for the WHILL Ci2 Power Chair are: Compact, Minimal, and Stylish. The latest in the series, Ci2 boasts a TON of new features including 4-Wheel suspension, an 11-mile range, and an increased weight capacity of up to 300 pounds. Customizations like different colors, left or right controls, and different seat widths (16/18/20 inch) mean finding your best fit is that much easier too! We love that the seat was designed with ease of transport in mind; the seat makes getting in and out much easier than the previous model, and also has a Lithium-ion battery to be airline friendly (because let’s be real, the airlines are still struggling to get Wheelchair transportation right) Overall, this little chair packs a ton of convenient features but we love that it doesn't sacrifice style!
Number 6: ByACRE Carbon Fiber Ultralight Rollator
Similar to the Alinker, this Rollator from ByAcre has an awesome futuristic design, with sleek wheels, and a glossy finish available in white, black, and red. Created by award-winning Danish company ByAcre, this rollator features an impressive carbon fiber frame that is 5x stronger than steel yet super lightweight. In terms of customization, you can opt for “Compact Seat (16.1"W x 22"H), “Regular Seat” (16.5"W x 24"H), or “Comfort Seat” (18.5"W x 24"H). There’s also a sizable variety of accessories including a cane holder and various sized bag attachments. (TMI: There will be a bottle of wine in ours.)
Number 7: Izzy Wheel’s Wheel Covers–Katerina Kerouli - Lemons
When life gives you lemons, you what? Make Lemonade! For real though, sometimes you already have the perfect wheelchair, but just want to give it a little TLC! That’s where these gorgeous waterproof covers from Izzy Wheels come in! With a TON of patterns, including Disney & Marvel themes, there’s pretty much an option for everyone. Sizes range between 44-50cm but custom options are allowed, however, the covers are geared more for manual versus power chairs. Add international shipping and collaborations with famous artists and you’ve got the sweetest set of wheels around!
Price: €149.00 (Shipping to USA is €18)
Number 8: Trust Care Let's Fly Outdoor Rollator
You might be interested to know that this sporty little rollator was awarded the title of “Most Beautifully Designed Product” at one of the world’s largest German mobility exhibitions, so that’s basically like winning the beauty pageant of the mobility aid world, right? But don’t just appreciate this rollator for her looks, she’s got substance too. With large, curb-hopping front wheels, an aluminum frame, and ergonomic size-adjustable handles (with brakes!) you might feel like you’re flying a little bit. The frame comes in different colors and can support up to 300 pounds. The ability to fold up on top of all that is a chef’s kiss!
Number 9: Folding Lightweight Cane Seat by Drive Medical
Maybe it’s the black/gold color combo that got us, but we loved the simplicity & elegance of this Cane seat. With an aluminum frame and vinyl contour tipped legs, this little cane seat weighs only 1.3 pounds but can support up to 250 pounds. Perfect for travel, the tripod design allows you to fold up as needed.
Number 10: Black and Swarovski Crystal Encrusted Half Knob Walking Stick
It’s ok being a little extra if it means looking this good! The Half Knob Walking Stick definitely makes a glamorous statement with Swarovski Crystal embellishments and a beechwood shaft. Definitely a bit of a splurge for when you need a walking stick that can hold up for weddings or other special occasions.
