Can I wear this bra if I have a pacemaker/wearable medical device? Liberare’s magnetic front-closing bras contain magnets which may interfere with the proper function of these devices. We do not recommend their wear for folks with pacemakers. For all medical devices, please consult your physician before wearing.
Does exposure to magnets or magnetic fields cause people harm?
The World Health Organization has stated that exposure to static magnets has not been proven to have harmful (or positive) effects on people. You’re totally safe in our bras!
Can I wear this bra through TSA?
Yes! Our team has personally tried this and did not have issues with TSA scanners. If you are able to go through TSA with a regular underwire bra, you will be able to wear this bra as well.
I have a metal allergy, will these bras work for me?
Yes! Our magnetic closures are encased inside a plastic coating and then sealed inside soft microfiber, meaning they never come into direct contact with your skin. Many of our hook and eye closures are also plastic-coated metal, but please feel free to message us directly at hello@liberare.coif you need any additional product information.
What about swallowing magnets?
Our magnetic closures are encased inside a plastic coating so the individual magnets are nearly impossible to remove. If however you discover any tears, rips, or loose stitching around the magnets please discontinue use of the product.
Have these magnets been tested for safety?
The closures are composed of neodymium magnets (top quality for strength) which have been third-party tested and approved by OEKO-TEX class II. They are REACH, Oeko-Tex Class II and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) complaint and therefore lead free.

I love how easy it is to put it on because I have had shoulder challenges, including surgery, that make it hard to manipulate a traditional bra. I have to say, however, that the snaps have given me pause - once they came undone while I was using both hands and moved wrong so I try to be very careful about doing housework or cooking with it. Also, it feels like the snaps are poking into my upper belly when I'm seated - most bras I have worn have only a couple of inches of fabric between my breasts, so those extra several inches of snaps on your bra are very noticeable and can be uncomfortable. I'll keep wearing it because it's easy to put on and take off, but it isn't perfect.

My mom loves her easy-on bra, she says it is super comfortable and supportive. We were hopeful she could use it for independent dressing, which was not the case (she has ALS and isn’t quite able to get it around her back on her own). She hasn’t yet been able to close it herself but we’re hoping that she’ll be able to with some practice. Really an amazing product and definitely easier for getting on!

I’m Lisa and I do have a couple suggestions. The first suggestion has nothing to do with the bra I purchased. It has to do with a little typo in the letter I’m now responding to. In the second paragraph, it starts with, “If you any suggestions…”. So, my first suggestion is that you go back and put in the word “have” that I’m confident was a simple overlook.
My second suggestion relates to the bra. When I first tried it on I honestly thought that, although the fabric was as soft as butter, the front magnet section made me feel I was wearing an old fat lady’s bra. I set it aside and did not put it on again for about a week. Then, since I was going shopping that day, I decided to give it a more honest review. It didn’t take long before I didn’t even know I was wearing a bra at all! It wasn’t until later that night when I was curled up on a chair that it began digging into me at the center front where the heavy duty magnet section bulges out rather than in, the way your body is actually shaped. I also think that that was why I didn’t like it initially. This would be my absolute, hands down, favorite bra if you would find another, softer way to create a less bulky center section that collapses inward contouring the bra to look more natural rather than out which is unnatural and causes that center piece to dig down under your breasts when you sit down and curl up. This bra is easier for my 94yo mother to put on (mild dementia, arthritis) than her other bras (she doesn’t really need to wear one honestly, but…..)
